The Quad Alliance will invest $50 billion in the Indo-Pacific region

The Alliance also says that any attempts to “change the status quo by force” will never be tolerated anywhere.

This could be the Quad’s strongest signal yet, that China should stick out of Taiwan.

U.S. President Joe Biden says China is “flirting with danger” over the democratically-ruled island.

China has responded by saying the U.S. is “playing with fire”.

It comes as President Biden gathers with leaders from Australia, India and Japan in Tokyo.

The U.S. is expanding economic leadership in Asia as he calls on a dozen nations to join a new bloc to counter China’s dominance.
