Closing arguments in Ghislaine Maxwell’s sex-trafficking trial began in federal court in Manhattan on Monday with a chilling message:

The closing arguments in Ghislaine Maxwell’s sex trafficking trial have been delivered with prosecutors describing the disgraced socialite as a “sophisticated predator”

Lawyers say she was a grown woman who preyed on vulnerable kids targeting those who were struggling with their own personal lives.

The court also heard that Maxwell “knew exactly what she was doing” at all times when she recruited and groomed young girls for Jeffrey Epstein.

Maxwell was arrested in July 2020 for alleged involvement in the sexual abuse of minor teenagers by Jeffrey Epstein

The pair mixed with many of the world’s elite including Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton and Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, Maxwell’s defence accused prosecutors of cherry-picking evidence “like a sensational tabloid”.

Four of her siblings attended court for the hearing on Monday walking arm-in-arm and speaking with their sister in French.

Maxwell was arrested in July 2020 for alleged involvement in the sexual abuse of minor teenagers by Jeffrey Epstein

Maxwell has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges and faces up to 80 years in prison if convicted.
