President Joe Biden presents the Presidential Medal Freedom to Olympic gymnast Simone Biles

Simone Biles is breaking records once again, becoming the youngest living person ever to receive the highest civilian honour in the U.S, the Medal of Freedom

The remarkable athlete is the most decorated American gymnast of all time, scoring a whopping 32 medals over the course of her professional career.

But aside from her gymnastic abilities, Biles is also a powerful and respected activist, standing up for mental health and sexual assault.

During the ceremony, President Joe Biden said Biles has ‘unmatched power and determination”.

MDMA is a drug commonly known as molly or ecstasy.

Some medical professionals say it can be helpful for people with post-traumatic stress disorder — which is why a group has been fighting to get MDMA legalized as a prescription drug.

Currently, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is reviewing an application to use MDMA to treat PTSD. The agency is expected to announce its ruling as soon as August.
