Slashing the price of Twitter Blue subscription service, banning advertising and paying in crypto are part of a raft of changes proposed by Elon Musk
The Tesla CEO is now Twitter’s biggest shareholder and last week was offered a seat on its board of directors, a move which made some Twitter employees panic over the future of its ability to moderate content.
In a tweet, Musk suggests users who sign up for Twitter Blue should pay significantly less than the current 3 dollars a month, and should get an authentication checkmark as well as an option to pay in local currency.
He also proposed no ads as well as an option to pay with cryptocurrency dogecoin and asked Twitter users for their views.
Musk also asked his 81 million followers if Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters should be converted to a homeless shelter as “no-one shows up (to work there)”
90 per cent answered yes in the first hour of Musk’s poll
Twitter has declined to comment on his suggestions.
