Museums in New York will need to inform patrons if any of their artwork was stolen by the Nazis in Europe

The new law means all museums in the state need to place a sign acknowledging Nazi-looted art.

In the Second World War, Nazi’s stole at least 600-thousand works of art from Jews.

It comes as U.S. lawmakers sign a package to honour and protect Holocaust survivors.

There will also be education, and a public list of financial institutions who waive fees for Holocaust reparations.

It’s understood around 100-thousand pieces of Jewish artwork is still missing.
