Netflix hit, The Crown, in hot water over plans to recreate Diana’s death

Netflix hit, The Crown is facing more backlash, this time for its plans to recreate Princess Diana’s final tragic moments in Paris.

This has prompted outrage from some crew members, who say “a line has been crossed.”

It isn’t the first time The Crown has been accused of being insensitive.

Earlier this year, after the death of the Queen, some criticised the show for its portrayal of the late monarch as senile and out-of-touch.

Others have also taken issue with The Crown’s portrayal of Prince Philip as a serial cheat.

Speaking to The Sun, one source said the whole process feels very “uncomfortable”.

They continued, adding “some of the crew members are pushing back on the ideas being tabled.”
