US-based streaming service, Netflix has confirmed it has dropped the animated TV series “Pearl” which would have been produced by Meghan Markle and her company Archewell Productions.
The news comes after the streamer revealed it lost over 200,000 paying subscribers, as households cut spending due to rising global inflation.
The Duchess of Sussex and her production company would have been behind the creation of the animated family series.
Netflix once dominant among streaming platforms but it’s now wrestling with slumping subscriber numbers and a collapse in stock market value.
