Meta’s former COO makes shock announcement
Sheryl Sandberg is leaving the company’s board of directors in May.
Sandberg, who has been an influential figure at Meta since joining in 2008, played a pivotal role in the company’s growth and development.
Sandberg expressed her gratitude for the experiences and collaborations during her tenure but did not provide specific reasons for her departure.
Regarding her future with the company, Sandberg write that she will operate as an advisor for the company, “I will always be there to help the Meta teams.”
