Mass shooting madness – why is America divided on gun control?

The first weekend of June had a greater number of mass shooting deaths in the United States than the previous three-day weekend, which ended with Memorial Day

Chilling stats, at least 17 people were killed over the weekend and 62 injured.

The most notable violence this weekend took place in Philadelphia’s south street entertainment district.

Journalist Ernest Owens lives in Philadelphia and says Polls show that the overwhelming majority of Americans support restrictions on firearms.

However, Republican lawmakers feel they will pay a steep political price for enacting change.
