Manchester City fans are screaming from the rooftops today as they produced a stellar comeback win against Aston Villa to take the English Premier League title

It was a game that was hanging in the balance until the final minutes. Manchester City fans thought the game was over when Pep Guardiola’s team was down 2-0.

Manchester City needed a victory to beat Liverpool to the trophy.

However, the game quickly changed when City scored 3 nerve-wracking goals, to leave them on a 3-2 victory and secure their title.

German international Gundogan proved to be Manchester City’s super-sub, as he scored them a lifeline in the 76th minute.

“It was an unbelievable game. I don’t know what to say to be honest,

“We are human beings and after going 2-0 down the chances were just very, very small. But we had to do the simple things and scoring two goals quickly and then having 10 minutes to score the third one gave us the right lift.

“It was about getting that goal and then the momentum was on our side then we were able to score three goals in just a few minutes. These are the days you look back to, it was an unbelievable game.”

Excited fans filled the pitch in an unstoppable fashion.

As for the rest of the ladder, Liverpool held onto the second spot at Etihad Stadium, despite a stunning win over Wolves.

“Congratulations to Man City and Pep Guardiola. Thank you to Aston Villa and Wolverhampton for making a proper game of it,

It’s not the result we wanted. It was a bit of a rollercoaster. I don’t know the results exactly but I know Villa were 1-0 up – were they 2-0 up as well? Of course at the moment there’s disappointment here as well.

92 points is absolutely incredible. We wanted it all, but now it’s OK.

Finishing second is the story of my life. I’m still record holder for not getting promoted in Germany with the highest points tally. You need to get more points than any other teams, but we didn’t do that.

Chelsea came in third, with a win over Watford.
