If you think the dating world is hard, it’s not just you

Many successful relationships have come from the handy work of a wingman.

Now, there’s new research to believe a bromance that leads to romance isn’t just for humans.

The study found male dolphins need wingmen and cliques to attract potential female mates.

Australian researchers analysed social behaviour of the mammals and found male dolphins like to team up to help each other find romantic connections.

Before this study, alliances between groups were thought to be unique to humans.

Humans and dolphins are the two animals with the largest brains relative to body size, Dr Richard Connor, a behavioural ecologist at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and one of the lead authors of the paper, says it’s not a coincidence.
