Makeshift migrant camps that were set up at a checkpoint on the border of Belarus and Poland have been cleared by Belarusian authorities as tensions mount in Europe

This comes just days after a flare-up in frustration and violence amongst migrants who tried to push through barbed wire fences to seek salvation in the EU, with border officials firing water cannons and tear gas as a deterrent.

Meanwhile, Belarusian border guards have moved all of the remaining individuals who are stranded at the border to a nearby warehouse.

This warehouse will now function as a temporary processing center… and provide relief to migrants who have been camping out in sub-zero temperatures and rough living conditions.

Seven thousand migrants, mostly from the Middle East, are still in Belarus.

Whilst some have agreed to return home, many still insist on being allowed to continue their journey west, with most seeking salvation in Germany.
