American Justin Thomas has come back to win the U.S. PGA Championship

The tournament took place at Southern Hills, where Thomas trailed by seven at the day’s start.

But the 29-year-old posted a three-under 67 to set the clubhouse target at five under.

He was one over after six holes on but had four birdies in his final 10 holes.

Analysts believe he had a 1.2 per cent chance of winning the major at the start of the day.

Thomas was neck-and-neck with Will ZALA-TORIS after both players birdied the first hole.

But a pep talk from his caddy made all the difference for Thomas as he staged an incredible comeback.
