Japan’s Mitsubishi Financial Group says it will aim for net-zero emissions by 2050 amid growing pressure to address climate change.

The company is the latest to respond to the pressures of climate change.

This comes as Japan seeks to align its business with the targets set in the Paris climate change agreement.

Gold miner, Newcrest, has also set the goal of achieving net-zero by 2050. This aligns the company with its commitment to “responsible mining”.
