Israeli soldiers have shot and killed a two Palestinians one near the West Bank border and another who was reportedly attempting to enter a Jewish settlement inside the territory

Israel-Palestinian violence has surged over recent months with fears a full-scale conflict is imminent.

This comes just hours after Israeli forces caught the two Palestinians who are the key suspects in last week’s Independence Day attacks.

Three people were killed in the Orthodox Jewish town of Elad during the terror incident

A manhunt followed with authorities searching for the two axe-wielding assailants before they were caught in a nearby forest.

In 2022 alone, Palestinians and Israel’s Arab minority have killed 18 people, including three police officers and a security guard.

Meanwhile, Israeli soldiers have carried out a number of arrest raids in Palestinian towns and villages killing 42 Palestinians this year.

Israel captured the West Bank, along with Gaza and East Jerusalem during the 1967 Middle East War and Palestinians remain determined to claim these territories for their own future state.
