The world’s most popular cryptocurrency is dangerously close to collapsing
Bitcoin dropped to a low of just over USD 20,000 with experts warning that anywhere below that could be catastrophic for the blockchain.
This could cause a massive sell pressure, which would devalue the coin even further.
A drop this low would make Bitcoin lose the value it had gained since its 2017 high.
Ethereum has also been hit by market volatility as have other digital currencies in response to fears of a global recession as inflation rises.
U.S. inflation has now reached 8.6 per cent the worst it’s been since 1981.
