Inside Iran’s hidden security network operating beyond its borders
Iran may be turning to crowdsourced intelligence not because its security services are depleted, but because personnel could already be embedded overseas, according to Oz Sultan.
Sultan compares the approach with reports of Chinese police stations operating abroad, saying the network could help identify Iranian dissidents and supporters outside the country.
