How two Russian journalists are defying Putin and putting their safety on the line

In a brave and bold move, two Russian Journalists reportedly published 30 articles, slamming their leader, and the war in Ukraine

The articles were published on a pro-kremlin website, lenta.ru, but taken down almost immediately.

Two business editors, Egor Polyakov and Alexandra Miroshnikova were behind the articles.

They claim that Putin is “launching one of the “bloodiest wars of the 21st century.”

They say “Putin and his associates won’t be able to justify themselves or flee after losing this war.”

This kind of move is extremely rare in Russia, and dangerous.

Russia recently imposed a jail term of 15 years for anyone who spoke out about the war in the country.

No one has communicated with the journalists since the explosive articles but they signed off each one saying “we’re looking for work, lawyers, and probably, political asylum…The future is yours!… Peace to Ukraine!”
