AMC Entertainment is reporting second-quarter revenue ahead of Wall Street estimates.

The theatre chain is putting this down to big films like “Top Gun: Maverick”, which continues to draw crowds.

It’s driving a surge in box-office hits for the world’s biggest theatre chain.

The company has announced a special dividend to be paid later this month.

One preferred equity unit will be offered for the 516 million ‘Class A’ common stocks.

AMC is putting the success down to the re-opening of chains after COVID halted screenings across the industry.
