Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have officially arrived in London in preparation for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are accompanied by their two children, Archie and Lilibet.

It’s expected Queen Elizabeth will meet Lilibet for the very first time tomorrow, ahead of official celebrations.

The royals reportedly flew in a private jet, departing from LAX and landing in London, where they were greeted by the Queen’s cars.

A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan says they are excited and honoured to attend the Her Majesty’s special occasion.

It’s believed they are staying at Frogmore Cottage, which was the couple’s official residence when they were senior members of the royal family.

The pair will likely take a back seat in this weekend’s public affairs and will not be joining the rest of the royal family on the balcony for the official public appearance and photo.

New royal photo

To mark this incredible milestone, the Palace has released a new photo of 96-year-old Queen Elizabeth the second, taken in her private apartment at Windsor Castle.

The Monarch is pictured wearing a pale blue Angela Kelly coat and dress, which is embellished with pearls and diamantes.

The Queen has also sent her thanks to the millions preparing to celebrate in her honour this weekend.
