Foreign spectators and unvaccinated fans banned from Beijing Winter Olympics

The international Olympic Committee has announced that overseas and unvaccinated fans will not be able to attend next year’s Winter Olympics in Beijing

Unvaccinated athletes will have to undergo a 21-day quarantine upon arrival unless they provide a “justified medical exemption”.

The IOC says it is disappointing that foreigners will not be able to attend, but is looking forward to having fans in the stadium.

They say that next year’s games “will facilitate the growth of winter sports in China … as well as bringing a favourable atmosphere to the venues.”
