Finland on the cusp of NATO membership

Finland is edging closer towards joining NATO as tensions rise as a result of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine

Sweden’s Foreign Minister Ann Linde spoke on national television saying it is almost certain that Finland will apply for NATO membership.

As Russia’s aggression persists nordic countries are growing increasingly concerned over their national security and military neutrality.

Sweden and Finland are set to decide on whether to join the military alliance within the next month.

Finland’s Foreign Minister hopes that two countries’ decisions will align.
