FIFA President promises ‘everyone’ is welcome at Qatar World Cup

FIFA WORLD CUP- The FIFA President has promised that ‘everyone’ will be welcome at the upcoming 2022 Qatar World Cup.

With football’s World Cup only a week away, ticket sales have reached the three million mark.

FIFA’s president made the announcement at a news conference in Qatar’s capital of Doha.

The top 10 purchasing countries of tickets sold include Qatar, the U.S., Saudi Arabia, England, Mexico, the U.A.E, Argentina, France, Brazil and Germany.

There is either low or no availability for all matches, with a huge 240,000 hospitality packages sold for the month-long tournament.

This makes it the “most successful hospitality program ever.”

Hospitality tickets allow access to luxurious stadium lounges and have a number of other perks. Per person, it will cost more than $34,000 for final matches.

It comes as the topic of inclusion continues to dominate the tournament.

FIFA’s president says everyone will be welcome to Qatar.

Meanwhile, Qatar’s organising body is asking all visitors to the nation to be respectful.
