Equities trading in Saudi Arabia, home to the Middle East’s biggest stock exchange, has been halted due to a technical issue.
In a statement the Saudi Exchange says the market will be suspended temporarily due to the issue which is out of its control
The bourse is home to over 200 listed securities with a total market capitalization of about $2.6 trillion.
The benchmark Tadawul All Share Index was up as much as 0.8% earlier on Wednesday, before trading stopped.
