The chairman of Emirates says they are in discussions about changing aircraft with Boeing

Emirates is looking at changing over a multi-million dollar aircraft order with the US aircraft maker, Boeing,

The company plans to swap its 126 Boeing 777-X jets for smaller 787 Dreamliners.

This comes part of a sweeping review of its future fleet requirements.

Demand for jumbo jets slumps following pandemic

This also comes at a time where the demand for international travel is falling due to COVID-19.

Emirate’s Chief Operating Officer Adel Al Redha said the company prefers to take the smaller Dreamliner sooner rather than later as it “offers better seat capacity”.
