Elon Musk has dissolved Twitter’s Trust and Safety Council
The group is made up of around 100 independent human rights organisations to address hate speech, suicide, self-harm and other issues on the platform.
It was scheduled to meet on Monday night, but they had reportedly been told that their roles were no longer tenable.
Speaking to The Associated Press, the staff shared an email where they were told the platform will be moving faster and more aggressively than ever before.
The council has been around since 2016.
