Dogecoin was originally created as a “joke” several years ago becoming a trend to poke fun at Bitcoin and other types of cryptocurrencies.
Thanks to the Tesla boss, Dogecoin is now the most expensive joke in the world.
The crypto is again making headlines after its price jumped 600 percent in the past few weeks…and again in recent days as Elon Musk gets set for a Saturday Night Live gig.
The total value of the dogecoins in circulation is nearly $78 billion — not bad for a digital currency that started as a joke.
