Disturbing ‘In God We Trust’ posters at Texas schools

Civil rights activists are ringing alarm bells following a new law taking effect in Texas

Posters with ‘In God We Trust’ have begun popping up in schools across the state.

The new regulations require schools to display any donated items bearing this phrase.

The Southlake Anti-Racism Coalition says it’s “disturbed” and concerned by the precedent displaying these posters will set.

While the posters don’t explicitly state a single religion, some believe ‘In God We Trust’ has deep ties with Christianity.

It follows a similar move in Virginia, where a city council ruled every registered vehicle was to carry this motto.
