BOMBSHELL GOP REPORT: Covid-19 virus may be linked to Chinese bioweapons program

Investigations are being conducted by both the Republicans and Democrats into Covid-19.

The U.S. House of Representatives will soon release reports about Covid-19 to the public.

On Wednesday, the House Intelligence Committee circulated an interim report from their investigation into the origins of COVID-19.

That report concluded that the virus may have been part of a Chinese biological weapons research program when it was accidentally released from a laboratory in Wuhan.

This new report was released by Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee and conflicts with last year’s findings by the intelligence community.

In 2021, the intelligence community judged the virus to have not been developed as a biological weapon by the Chinese government.

Brad Wenstrup, a Republican Congressman from Ohio—and a physician—sits on the House Intelligence Committee and spoke about the findings saying, “with everything I’ve read, the first super spreader event came from the wet market. I do believe that to be the case. The question is: how did that virus get to wet market?”

He added, “there’s all types of scientists saying this thing is genetically engineered; you can go through [Dr. Anthony] Fauci’s emails, that concern has been there from the beginning.”

“There is a need to get to the origins of this, one for a national security, two for our global health security and as a physician, I can tell you—you need to know how things begin if you’re going to be able to treat them, take care of it or try to prevent it.”

So far, the Committee says it has not seen any indications that the Chinese military intentionally released Covid-19.

Helicopter carrying Iran’s President Raisi crashes

A helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his foreign minister crashed on Sunday as it was crossing mountain terrain in heavy fog.

The official said the lives of Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian were “at risk following the helicopter crash”, which happened on the way back from a visit to the border with Azerbaijan in Iran’s northwest.

“We are still hopeful but information coming from the crash site is very concerning,” the official told Reuters, speaking on condition of anonymity.

State TV quoted an official as saying at least one passenger and one crew member had been in contact with rescuers. It also said the helicopter had been found, though Iran’s Red Crescent denied this report.
