Coolio’s manager has spoken out after the death of the Gangsta’s paradise star
There were claims the 59-year-old rapper died from a drug overdose.
But Coolio’s manager told the Daily Mail the rap artist had died from a suspected heart attack while on a trip to Los Angeles to fix his passport ahead of shows scheduled in Germany.
A Friend, also quoted by the publication, says he avoided drugs and alcohol.. one telling media “He’d usually have a glass of water”
“He would never show up intoxicated or on a different planet like most people. I never saw him drinking. He’d usually have a glass of water,”
coolio’s friend Mr Yano told daily mail
“When the news came yesterday about his passing, I was shocked. Was it something health related?”
“But I was just with him a few weeks ago, and he seemed completely fine. No mention of any sort of heart condition or any medical condition.”
This comes as Fans speculated the rapper died from an overdose due to his history of drug abuse and crack cocaine addiction.
The rapper, known around the globe for his 90’s hits, died while visiting a friend in Los Angeles last week.
No drugs were found at the scene and the official cause of death is yet to be revealed.
