One university in the U.S. is now accepting cryptocurrency for tuition payments

Bentley University is collaborating with crypto exchange company Coinbase to accept three cryptocurrencies – Bitcoin, Etherum and the stablecoin USD Coin.

The change will not only apply to tuition fees, the university will also allow donations and gifts to be made in cryptocurrency.

Bentley University’s President says the institution is “at the forefront in preparing business leaders with the skills and knowledge to succeed in the changing world economy”.

Bentley is one of five universities in the U.S. that accepts cryptocurrency for tuition payments.

Universities around the world are turning more towards digital assets with some in England, France, Spain and Switzerland also accepting crypto payments.

Cryptocurrencies are becoming an essential part of the world’s economy, with many businesses now also adopting them.

In America, over 41 million people have invested in, traded or used cryptocurrency.

Worldwide, it’s expected that the cryptocurrency market will more than double by 2028.
