The Chief Director of the CIA has met with the leader of the Taliban, Abdul Ghani Baradar in Kabul on Monday.
The meeting comes as President Joe Biden prepares to finalise a decision on whether to extend his deadline for US Troops to withdrawal from Afghanistan
Biden continues to face international pressure over his looming deadline to leave the nation.
The CIA has declined to comment on what exactly what was discussed in the meeting.
