Canada’s Prime Minister says he was unaware of any misconduct that’s shaken his nation’s armed forces

Justin Trudeau says the military told his government there was “no problem” with the system.

But he conceded that he wish he could have done more.

Canada’s armed forced have been rocked by sexual misconduct allegations, and a toxic culture towards LGBTQ members.

It follows a report, which called for the creation of an independent reporting system for military sexual misconduct.

It would allow victims to report outside of the chain of command.
