U.S. retail giant Walmart and Paramount+ are teaming up in a bid to compete with Amazon.com
Members of Walmart+ will soon get access to Paramount’s “essential” plan, which usually comes at a stand-alone cost of 4.99 a month.
Paramount+ offers both original series and movies from its internal brands including BET, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon.
It also broadcasts several sporting leagues such as UEFA.
Walmart+ membership costs 12.95 per month, which includes free shipping on orders, discounts and a free six-month Spotify subscription.
On the other side of the coin, Amazon Prime also offers free shipping and music streaming at 14.99 per month.
