The 75th Tony Awards have wrapped up, with an Oscar-winning host and a roster of celebrity presenters
Twenty-nine new productions received nominations for their work during last year’s Broadway season at the iconic 75th Tony Awards.
There was much anticipation for the event, which showcased the first full season since the pandemic shut down theatres in March 2020.
‘A Strange Loop’ took top musical honours, while ‘The Lehman Trilogy’ was named top play.
Paris and Prince Jackson, the children of the late Michael Jackson also presented a performance by the cast of ‘MJ: The Musical’, which was also nominated for the top award.
Prince and Paris Jackson shared the King of Pop’s love of musicals in a rare appearance celebrating their dad.
Special Tony Awards were presented to James C. Nicola, who has been the artistic director of New York Theatre Workshop since 1988.

Meanwhile, the Asian American Performers Action Coalition received Tony Honours for Excellence in the Theatre.
