Biden’s plan to tackle supply chain bottlenecks
US President Joe Biden has just delivered remarks addressing how his administration plans to tackle the ongoing supply chain crisis
This follows the president meeting with senior officials and stakeholders… devising a plan as to how to collectively tackle the issue.
Port operators, truckers’ associations, labor unions and executives from large companies were all present at the talks.
The White House has pledged to make a “90-day sprint” to reduce bottlenecks… and some will start working 24/7.
Most significantly, the Port of Los Angeles will move to constant service.
White House chief of Staff Jen Psaki says the Biden administration is “using every tool at their disposal to ease the impact on the American people”.
The coronavirus pandemic has wreaked havoc on supply chains right around the world… with the vast network of ports, container vessels and trucking companies now badly congested.
The President also used his address to promote his bipartisan infrastructure bill… pushing congress to pass the legislation.
