Biden signs bipartisan China competition bill

U.S. President Joe Biden has signed a bipartisan bill which the hope of strengthening his nation’s semiconductor manufacturing

The goal is to take on China in what is an increasingly competitive marketplace.

The bipartisan bill, dubbed the Chips and Science Act, includes more than $52 billion for U.S. companies producing computer chips.

It also allows for billions more in tax credits to encourage investment in the semiconductor industry.

In addition to this, funding will also be provided for further scientific research and development.

Biden says America remains the home of possibility.
