President Joe Biden has used his Labor Day speech to openly endorse the expansion of unions, promising to be the “most pro-union president” in American history

Biden believes a strong unionised workforce will help the nation regain its place on the world infrastructure stage.

The President wants to see key worker protections build an economy from the bottom up and middle out, noting he is “sick and tired of trickle-down economics.”

The remarks follow a major uptick in America’s labor movement, with the most support for unions in 60 years.

The Labor Day holiday is the start of the final sprint before the November midterm elections, and Biden says Americans need to work together.
