Aquaman star Amber Heard loses bid for a new trial

Aquaman actor Amber Heard has seen her request for a retrial thrown out, with a judge rejecting claims a juror served improperly

Following a public hearing back in June, Heard was ordered to pay Depp over $10 million in damages.

The jury found she defamed the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star and former lover in an opinion piece.

But Heard’s team hasn’t given up, demanding the court throws out the decision and declares a mistrial.

They argue the juror in question shouldn’t have been allowed to serve… as the summons he received in the mail was actually intended for his father, who has the same name.

But the judge found there is “no evidence of fraud or wrongdoing” by the juror and the jury’s verdict should stand.
