Major League Soccer and Apple are teaming up in an historic 10-year global broadcast deal, worth $2.5 billion

This exclusive deal makes MLS the first major United States sports league to seal a media rights deal with an all-digital platform, streaming globally.

Apple TV will get the rights to every MLS and Leagues Cup match for the next decade, in an exclusive streaming service that rules out any lock blackouts or restrictions.

Unlike other sports streaming services including the NFL and NBA, all of the content will be available in one easy place for subscribers.

MLS will have its own streaming service that lives inside Apple TV.

They will also get exclusive access to pre and post-game footage.

As for the subscription, Apple hasn’t revealed a ball park price point yet.

However, they have confirmed that current Apple TV subscribers will have to pay extra if they want the MLS package included.
