One of the worlds biggest online e-commerce platforms is once again heading to the courtroom

Amazon is being sued by Washington DC Attorney Generals over allegations it abuses its position as a retail giant.

The lawsuit filed earlier this week, claims that Amazon’s control of up to 70% of US online sales results in higher prices for consumers.

Attorney General Karl Racine says the company is dominating the online space – and explained exactly what the company is doing wrong.

An Amazon spokesperson responded to the lawsuit stating that the DC Attorney General has it exactly backward stating that sellers set their own prices for the products they offer on the Amazon platform.
