Our digital clocks could be out of time

The Earth is spinning faster, and midnight is coming early, these are just some of the issues that have left scientists confused

It normally takes exactly 24 hours for our planet to rotate on its axis, but at the end of June, Earth had its shortest day on record.

It’s understood our blue planet completed one rotation in 1.59 milliseconds under 24 hours.

This matters because technology like G-P-S satellites, smartphones and computers could be out of time.

Scientists are suggesting melting glaciers could be to blame, or water in the northern hemisphere’s reservoirs.

Long-awaited first crewed test flight of the new Starliner space capsule was called off over a technical issue that launch teams could not resolve in time.

Originally scheduled for liftoff from Florida’s Kennedy Space Center, the mission aimed to demonstrate Starliner’s capabilities and certify it for regular crewed flights to the ISS, as reported by Reuters.
